Political engagement in schools

To coincide with this year’s General Election, the Loughborough Schools Foundation held its Alternative Election. Head of Politics at Loughborough Grammar School, Leicestershire, Mike Dawkins, and LGS teacher of Politics and Director of Future Pathways, Sarra Jenkins, describe how this has helped encourage student political engagement and explore the wider importance of political literacy.
